At a press conference announcing the fair, Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director General of the
Tourism Development Department, said the exhibition “reflects the emirate’s commitment to
supporting culture and knowledge and promoting reading in society.”

Big Bad Wolf founder Andrew Yap added: “The goal of Big Bad Wolf is to make reading
accessible to everyone around the world. Books are not a luxury, but a right for everyone.”

First launched in 2009, the Big Bad Wolf initiative has expanded to over 50 cities in 17 countries.
Ajman will be its 51st stop, promising readers a wide selection of titles—from fiction and science
