3/10/25, 11:44 AM IWD 2025: Nasiba Alshukairy of 7X on leading with impact
By creating structured talent development programmes, 7X is actively working to place
more women in executive and operational leadership roles. Alshukairy sees this as a
crucial step in shifting the landscape of the logistics sector.

Looking ahead, Alshukairy believes that women will play an increasingly vital role in

shaping the future of logistics, especially as the industry undergoes rapid
transformation driven by technology and sustainability initiatives.

“As the sector continues to transform, we will see more women taking on leadership

roles, leading digitisation efforts, shaping investment strategies, and driving
        sustainability initiatives,” she predicts.

        Advice for aspiring female leaders

Alshukairy offers a clear message to young women looking to enter the logistics
industry. “My advice is to embrace the complexity and innovation that the field now

demands,” she says. “Logistics is no longer about transportation. It is currently a
dynamic intersection of technology, strategy, and global commerce.”

A key piece of advice Alshukairy emphasises is the importance of confidence and

expertise. Women should own their knowledge and actively contribute to the industry’s
transformation rather than waiting for opportunities to be handed to them.

Beyond technical knowledge, she encourages women to take the initiative in their
career paths. “Aspiring professionals should actively seek leadership and growth

opportunities,” she notes. “Advancement in logistics requires initiative, whether by
taking on new challenging roles or building expertise in emerging areas like supply

chain analytics, fintech, and fulfilment solutions.”

Networking is another crucial aspect of career development in logistics. “Engaging with
industry leaders, participating in forums, and seeking mentors who can open doors to
growth opportunities will help create visibility and pave the way for career

        advancement,” she says.

While individual effort is essential, Alshukairy stresses that real change requires
industry-wide commitment. Companies must actively work toward greater gender

diversity and inclusion by implementing structured leadership pipelines for women. By
fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and equal opportunity, the logistics
sector can ensure that the next generation of female leaders is not just welcomed but

empowered to redefine the industry for years to come.
