Air Arabia introduces automated self-service for passengers at Sharjah International Airport

Sharjah,

A spokesman for Sharjah International Airport told reporters in an interview:-

Sharjah International Airport has introduced smart automatic self-service to avoid long
queues and provide fast service. Currently, this service is provided to all passengers
traveling on Air Arabia flights.

In this mode, passengers just need to scan their passport and register the PNR number
in the automated machine to deposit their belongings. The details are verified and
immediately the boarding pass is printed and issued. A sticker (back tag) for belongings
can also be obtained through the machine itself. Then, the items can be left at the self-
service counter with the sticker attached. After that, you can scan your passport through
the automated smart gate at the immigration check and enter.

This service is provided not only to residents but also to tourists. A Smart Information
Unit has been set up by the Airport Authority to provide details about this. The digital
screen there also provides the facility to contact the customer service center officer.
