ADHA offers Obtaining Approval to Extend the Repayment Period of Housing Loans service under Barakatna initiative

ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)

The Family Development Foundation (FDF) and the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA), in collaboration with the
Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi (DCD), have offered the obtain approval to Extend the

Repayment Period of Housing loan service for primary caregivers of senior citizens. The service forms part of the

Barakatna initiative, launched by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The service aims to empower children to support their parents’ daily needs while maintaining financial stability by
allowing an extension of their housing loan repayment period of up to five years. This reduces monthly instalments,

easing financial pressure while ensuring continued care for senior family members.
