Suzanne Al Anani began her journey in aviation by leading the team behind the inaugural Dubai
Airshow in 1989. She has been at DAEP since the early 2000s. Acting on behalf of the Government
of Dubai, DAEP is an engineering organization responsible for planning, design and development
Dubai’s airports: the Dubai International Airport, and Al Maktoum International Airport (AMIA). In
April 2024, DAEP announced the approval of its strategic plan and designs for the new passenger
terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport. This is a $35 billion project, with an expected
passenger capacity of 260 million annually once fully operational.
