Foundation Day With Tribute To Unity And

Regional Progress

His Excellency Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the Supreme Legislation
Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC), issued a statement on the occasion of Gulf Cooperation

Council (GCC) Foundation Day, celebrating over four decades of regional unity, stability, and
progress.

In his statement, H.E. Bin Meshar reflected on the establishment of the GCC in the early 1980s as a
historic moment driven by the shared vision of the Gulf region’s leadership to ensure the prosperity

and well-being of their people. He highlighted that the GCC was born from deep-rooted bonds of
brotherhood and a commitment to a common destiny among its member states.
