The establishment of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the 1980s reflected the unified vision and unwavering
determination of the Gulf region’s wise leadership to advance their nations and improve the well-being of their peoples.
It fulfilled the aspirations of peoples united by deep-rooted ties of brotherhood, shared values, and a common destiny.
Over more than four decades, the GCC has stood as an unprecedented model of unity — a platform for strengthening
solidarity among its Member States, enabling collective decision-making, driving sustainable economic development,
and anchoring regional and international stability.
The anniversary of the GCC’s founding is an occasion to celebrate the significant milestones and achievements that
have bolstered regional security, propelled economic growth, and enhanced the quality of life for its people. These
accomplishments include the implementation of ambitious projects and initiatives grounded in shared visions, robust
