        Non-oil exports


        The UAE’s non-oil exports surged to $48.3 billion (AED 177.3 billion) in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 40.7% year-on-
        year increase and a 15.7% rise from the previous quarter, according to new government data. This marks the highest
        contribution of non-oil exports to total non-oil foreign trade in the country’s history, surpassing 21% for the first time and
        outpacing the growth of imports and re-exports.

        The growth of the UAE’s non-oil exports outpaced increases in both imports and re-exports, pushing non-oil exports to
        account for over 21% of the country’s total non-oil foreign trade for the first time.

        Re-exports reached $51.5 billion (AED 189.1 billion) in the first quarter, up 6% from a year earlier, while imports rose 17.2%
        year-on-year to $127.6 billion (AED 468.6 billion) but slipped 1.7% from a quarter earlier.

        The UAE targets its GDP at $816.9 billion (AED 3 trillion) by the next decade under plans driven by sustainable development
        and technological transformation, according to Economy Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri.

        UAE’s top 10 partners

        Trade with the UAE’s top 10 partners expanded by 20.2% year-on-year—outperforming the 16.9% growth with other

        countries. Bilateral trade with India rose 31%, while trade with Saudi Arabia more than doubled, increasing by 127%. Trade
        with Turkiye grew by 8.3%, hitting a new record, and trade with China climbed 9.6%.
