The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has issued a circular declaring Friday, June 27, 2025, as the official public holiday for Dubai government entities,
departments, and institutions in observance of Hijri New Year.

The circular specifies that this holiday does not apply to entities with employees working in shifts or those providing essential public services or managing critical facilities. These
organizations may establish suitable working hours for their staff based on operational needs to ensure seamless service delivery.
