Salik has also expanded its services with the recent installation of new toll gates at Dubai Mall, effective
from July 1. These gates are part of a five-year agreement, with parking rates starting at Dh20 per hour and
going up to Dhs1,000 for 24-hour parking.

Under the partnership, Salik is responsible for the design, financing, development, installation, and
management of the parking payment system, while Dubai Mall provides the necessary infrastructure,
office space, and maintenance for the parking facilities. Salik boasts a robust presence in Dubai, with over
4.1 million active vehicle registrations.
Salik customers are advised to report any defective tags within 90 days to have them replaced free of
charge upon confirmation of the defect. In cases of lost or stolen plates or vehicles, customers must
promptly inform Salik through authorized channels to deactivate the associated tag.

“If Salik does not receive notification regarding the loss or theft of a vehicle or plate, Salik will continue to
deduct tolls, payments, and any incurred fines from the user’s account,” stated the Dubai-listed company.
Additionally, Salik accounts will be considered inactive if no transactions, payments, or balance top-ups
occur over a five-year period. Once inactive, any remaining balance on the account will be forfeited.
