Sheikha Hind launches initiative
to provide 5 million meals to the
needy

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of
the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday revealed that Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum has launched
an initiative at Emirates Food Bank with a view to provide 5 million meals from surplus food in
collaboration with 350 hotels and food establishments in Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid took the X platform to announce the initiative, saying, “Sheikha
Hind Bint Maktoum has launched an initiative at Emirates Food Bank today. The initiative will
provide 5 million meals from surplus food in collaboration with 350 hotels and food
establishments in Dubai and a team of 5,000 volunteers. The bank has successfully benefited 35
million people since its inception.”
