 CHAPTER 5: ABOUT YOUR EMPLOYMENT
From time to time your performance assessment feedback discussions will be documented for future reference in gauging your developmental progress. Documented performance assessments become part of your personnel file.
Please be mindful that performance assessments are a separate process from a merit review discussion. At Post, formal performance assessments are not mandatory prerequisites for awarding merit-based adjustments to an associate’s base pay compensation.
ASSOCIATE FILES
Associate Experience maintains a secure, confidential personnel file for each associate which consists of electronic and hard copy records. This record keeping meets compliance requirements; however, its primary purpose is to help facilitate and monitor your developmental progress as your career builds.
Your personnel file and its contents are the property of the University. Associates and certain former associates may, upon request, review or receive a copy of their personnel file, subject to applicable legal requirements. If you wish to review your file, please contact Associate Experience.
CHANGE IN PERSONAL STATUS
Keeping your personal information updated provides you peace of mind that your Post records are always correct. It is your responsibility to notify Associate Experience immediately when any change occurs in your personal status such as change of name, marital status, cell phone, child birth(s), adoptions, emergency contacts, new residence or designated beneficiary selections or other information that could impact your employment, deductions, benefits, etc.
Post is not responsible for the loss of benefits eligibility due to your failure to officially report “qualifying event” personal life status changes to your supervisor or to Associate Experience.
RELEASE OF EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION
It is the policy of Post University to safeguard and restrict access to associates’ confidential information.
Responsibility for providing information about current and former associates to outside government authorities, companies, or other external parties is assigned exclusively to Associate Experience. In general, except as otherwise required by law or as otherwise directed
or authorized in writing by the associate or former associate, the University will only confirm dates of employment and the position(s) held.
JOB POSTING
Another form of investing in associates is Post’s Job Posting Policy which helps facilitate associate advancement, development and career growth. In general, Associate Experience will post most of the University’s available positions internally and/or externally unless business needs require otherwise.
Job postings will include, among other information, a brief description of the job responsibilities and the required minimum qualifications, credentials and educational requirements. Some unposted positions may also be filled through internal promotions.
In general, you may apply for any position posted on
the Post.edu website after six months of acceptable performance in your current position, provided you also meet the minimum qualifications of the open position. To apply, you will need to submit an application and updated resume via the Post.edu website. In evaluating internal applications, the University generally considers factors
