In addition, when planning workday attire, associates should consider the following:
• Safety and health regulations are factors to be considered when determining the appropriateness of an individual’s dress including accessories such as, but not limited to jewelry.
• Jeans, shorts, skorts, leggings, sweat suits, tank tops, crop tops, sheer blouses, form fitting sweaters and t-shirts are NOT acceptable unless management approved on an exception basis. Additionally, low plunging necklines, camisoles without a jacket or an over-shirt and tops with spaghetti straps are not appropriate. Baseball caps or skull caps are not appropriate head apparel.
• Flip-flops and casual sandals are NOT acceptable footwear choices.
• The display of tattoos and body piercings such as nose rings and tongue studs may offend some of
our students, co-workers, applicants, vendors, or business associates and therefore may be required to be concealed as best as possible during work time, especially if they could be offensive or violate other employment related policies.
• The University allows staff to dress more casually
on dress down Fridays. Acceptable wear for dress down Fridays includes clean denim jeans without rips, tears or holes, denim shirts/dresses/skirts and clean sneakers. Business casual dress shirts are always acceptable.
• All associates should be neat in appearance with regards to facial hair, hairstyle, and overall general grooming and hygiene.
• Use of overbearing perfumes, colognes, body sprays, lotions, etc. may trigger health related concerns and is not appropriate.
• Associates are required to display their University name badge while at work or conducting business off Post premises.
• If an associate comes to work in inappropriate attire or grooming, the associate may be required to return home, change and return to work as quickly as possi- ble. Non-exempt associates are not paid for this time away from work.
When Working Remote:
• Associates are reminded to exercise good judgment in using professional attire and grooming even when working remote.
• Wearing offensive, distasteful, sexually suggestive, or similar attire is never appropriate during work time.
• During virtual work related meetings or conversations, Post’s preferred behavior expectation is to remain attentive, engaged, and on camera (as available).
NOTE: Post University may approve exceptions to
the above Appearance Policy guidelines on a case- by-case basis and in accordance with applicable law. Associate Experience may be contacted for appropriate clarification and guidance.
