The University expects all associates to comply with its Make It Personal behaviors and core values. Post’s employment practices and workplace expectations are collaboratively established to set Post apart as a world class, educational institution and a preferred Employer of Choice.
Associates’ collective and individual passion for service excellence to our students and each other is what makes each day rewarding at Post. In brief, you are here to make a difference in changing students’ lives for the better – one student at a time!
The Employment Practices and Workplace Expectations described below are intended to inspire consistency
in how associates’ passion for what we do shows up as amazing service to others.
Please refer to the previous topic “C.A.R.E – the Post Way” to be reminded of the specific behaviors and values you should consistently model in all your interactions with other associates or students. The policies addressed in this Chapter also help clarify why and how to model these expectations each workday as required.
CHAPTER 8: EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES AND WORKPLACE EXPECTATIONS
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE EXCELLENCE & REQUIRED REPORTING POLICY
Post University’s standards and expectations regarding compliance with internal or external regulatory guidelines are applicable to all associates, all the time.
At Post, this means “always doing the right thing” applies to both the letter and spirit of any compliance policies. These core expectations include the following:
• Post University and its associates must comply with all regulatory standards or laws whether local, state, or federal.
• No agent, representative or business associate has any authority to require any associate to act in a manner that could jeopardize or be counter to the University’s ethical and compliance standards.
• Any suspected regulatory or legal violations (whether internal or external) must be reported to the respective manager, Regulatory Compliance and/or Associate Experience.
• At no time should any associate engage in any activity that could represent a violation of regulatory standards.
• In meeting various regulatory or accrediting expectations, associates are required to cooperate fully and timely with any Regulatory Compliance Department requests.
• All associates are required (as a condition of employment) to cooperate fully with any internal or external regulatory audits or investigations.
• Associates should maintain updated knowledge
of regulatory guidelines or restrictions applicable
to their role and should contact their manager, Regulatory Compliance and/or Associate Experience if additional assistance or clarification is needed.
• Each associate (based on their role accountabilities) is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation that may be required by Post University to comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
• All associates must participate in Post’s Accreditation Training and acknowledge receipt of certain annual compliance notifications as required.
• Post has defined expectations associated with various required reporting laws. See ADP Workforce Now.
In the unlikely event that an associate is contacted by a state, federal, or accrediting agency by phone, email or letter, the Chief Regulatory Officer & General Counsel must be notified immediately. This timely notification is important in that it allows Post to be fully prepared in cooperating and responding to these outside agencies. In fulfilling its role, the Regulatory Compliance Office has subject matter expertise, experience, and in-depth knowledge as to how to responsibly and effectively represent Post in handling these type requests.
At Post University, compliance is a key responsibility of every associate, every day – not just the Regulatory Compliance Department.
DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE
At Post, the physical/psychological safety and well- being of our associates is a top priority. This means
the University will rigorously comply with both the requirements and spirit of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. This law requires every employer that receives federal contracts or grants, including Post University, to certify that it will provide a drug-free workplace by publishing a drug-free workplace policy, and taking certain actions regarding associates who violate this policy in the workplace.
The University is committed to educating all associates about the health, safety hazards and dangers of alcohol and substance abuse. To this end, the Post University Drug-Free Workplace Policy applies to all University associates, staff, faculty, student workers, temporary agency employees, and independent contractors.
