CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION Post in the Community
Post has a rich and proud tradition of community involvement and social responsibility that goes well beyond the norm. From collecting food donations for area shelters and soup kitchens, to increasing access to the arts, to supporting youth development programs, the University invests over $200,000 annually in our Greater Waterbury community. Throughout the year, our Post University faculty and staff, as well as executive level board and committee members, contribute their time in a variety of community service events. Annually Post volunteers grow
our culture of caring by locally volunteering more than 1000 hours to organizations including United Way
of Greater Waterbury, The Waterbury Regional Chamber, St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation, and The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Waterbury.
Our student athletes have completed over 3,000 volunteer hours in the greater Waterbury community supporting more than 22 local organizations. They typically rank
in the top 20 for volunteer hours of Division II athletic programs.
Welcome to Post University’s unique Virtual Campus, designed to give students the virtual version of the experiences they would have on a physical campus... replicating the campus and providing access to information, and live staff interaction with our many departments and services. It’s a convenient point of access for students, faculty, and staff to congregate and to interact, attend events and activities...
all with a virtual sense of wonder and ease!
