VC TEACHER’S GUIDE
AN INTRODUCTION TO VC TEACHING FOR ONESCHOOL STAFF
Setting up a course in the Learning Management System
(Canvas)
VC teaching is complemented by your subject course in Canvas.
A well run Canvas course should be:
• Formatted using the OneSchool ALS template
10 • Easy to navigate
• Relevant
• Logical
• Interactive
• Not just a repository of documents
The web address for the OneSchool Canvas site is https://oneschoolau.instructure.com/
Knowing your students
Obtain a class list and keep this close by in your lesson so you know all the students’ names, even if you
don’t remember their faces at first.
Requesting a class photo from the Campus admin is helpful.
Many teachers like to use a seating plan initially to help them identify students.
Campus visits are a valuable way to build a relationship with your students.
Like face-to-face teaching, the relationship you build with students is vital for effective teaching.
The OneSchool Mission is to support all our schools and provide them with global standards of quality education.
