Best position for the teacher

Sitting in the middle back of the classroom with the VC camera zoomed in close is an ideal position for the
teacher. This allows the teacher to see what the students are working on in their own classroom and it allows
the teacher to see the students at the other campuses clearly on the screen.

If using a document camera, position this next to you so you don’t need to move to another location in the
          classroom to use it.
When teaching to the class, zoom the camera in close on the teacher so that no students are visible in your
classroom. This removes distractions and feels more personal for the students receiving the lesson. If you
need to move around your classroom to check on your own students, zoom your camera out so that you are
still visible to the students receiving the lesson. 15
If you like to move around your classroom instead of teaching from one location, it is better to have the
camera zoomed out so the whole classroom is visible. When you need to talk to the students at other
campuses, consider your position. Moving up close to the camera makes you seem closer, and feels more
like you are talking directly to the students at the other campus.
