VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Ambassadors Council
by Larry Mazuchowski, Ambassadors Council Chair
With a cadre of eight, the Ambassadors Council (AC) was inaugurated in
June 2020. Our backgrounds vary, but each of us on the Council has
made Our Little Roses a priority in our lives. I was deeply honored to be
asked to Chair the Council.
The Council is the “hands and feet” of the Board of Directors and
takes action supporting the priorities of the Board Directors. We created a
call program to contact and thank recent/lapsed donors for their support,
assisted with a program to educate new and prospective sponsors on what to expect from their
commitment, and ran a “Let’s Get Moving!” virtual fundraiser! Though constrained by the pandemic, AC
members have also reached out virtually to several local church and civic groups to introduce them to
Our Little Roses FMS and solicit support.
Personally, I’ve been associated with Our Little Roses for about four years. I made my first visit to the
Mission in January 2019 - and I fell in love.
Despite sad and sometimes terrifying early years, each girl at Our Little Roses has a heart full of love that
she wants to share. Being with the girls fuels my desire to see them achieve goals and have opportunities
that I take for granted at home. If I can help create a new world with real possibilities for even one girl
at Our Little Roses, the effort will be worth it. Please open your heart, get out of your chair, Get Moving,
and come join us!
