makes his duel with Joe Biden in the November election more
unpredictable.
The Republican billionaire is expected to appear in court from 3:30 p.m. in
Manhattan for a case of payments intended to buy the silence of former
star Stormy Daniels. A little more than three years after leaving the White
House in chaos, he could, in theory, be sentenced to prison, but that would
not prevent him from being a candidate in the presidential election on
November 5.

INSECTS: With the arrival of fine weather, the cantons of Vaud and
Geneva are preparing to fight against the Asian hornet, whose number of
nests could explode this year. A call for nest reports has been launched
among the population of Vaud, while Geneva, "Swiss capital of the Asian
hornet", is organising its fight via a pilot experiment, according to the
Tribune de Genève.
Nearly 500 selective traps have been installed and telemetry will be used to
identify secondary nests that are difficult to find. Eradicating the species in
the region is unthinkable, says Gottlieb Dandliker, cantonal wildlife
inspector. "For the moment, we are doing our best to limit its population
and save time," he says.
GLACIER PATROL: The competitors, who are less and less familiar with
the mountains, should undergo an aptitude test before the ski
mountaineering event, according to its former commander Marius Robyr.
"At the beginning, there are now people who don't know how to rope up, or
they just know how to put on the harness," laments the man who
commanded the Patrouille des Glaciers between 1990 and 2008 in Le
Temps.
