The event is the finale to the 2022/2023 season for Lakeland Sinfonia and promises
a mix of the familiar (Dvořák’s Symphony No.9 ‘From the New World’) and the less
so (Weber’s Overture to Der Freischütz) with a Sibelius Violin Concerto completing
the programme.
Concerts in the season so far have been described as "sparkling", "dazzling",
"electrifying" and "atmospheric", with a particular joy in "the magic of a full
orchestra".
There have been visits by BBC Philharmonic, Royal Northern Sinfonia and
Manchester Camerata as well as November and March concerts by Lakeland
Sinfonia.

Tickets are priced at £29 and £40 as well as £5 tickets for under 19s and full-time
students.
