Once, there was a man who was spotted by the Wind and the

Sun. They were very close friends. When they saw the man,

they decided to have a challenge. The challenge was to see

who could make the man remove his scarf.

The Wind said, “Ha, that’s easy. I don’t even need to do any-

thing except blow.” The Sun didn’t say a word and kept

watching his friend.

As soon as the Wind blew, the man tightened his scarf and

didn’t remove it.

Then it was the Sun’s turn. The Sun smiled brightly, and soon

the man began to feel hot and sweaty. Eventually, he re-

moved his scarf.

The Wind felt sad, but the Sun was not proud or boastful. He

acted as if nothing had happened.

Ever since that day, the Wind has remembered an important

lesson:

“Never be selfish”
