Staff Health Checks –

HSEQS Pledge No 4

As promised in the HSEQS health pledge issued
to all staff in 2014, the rollout of organised
health checks took place in the Irish business
units in November and December. Staff members were
invited to the onsite Construction Workers Health Trust
(CWHT) clinics of which almost 200 members of staff
attended. Two parallel clinics were run in the Dublin
office in November for a total of five days, with one
clinic in the Cork office for a total of four days. The
health checks included a one-to-one session with an
appointed occupational health nurse from the CWHT
who conducted a variety of tests including a blood
pressure check and cholesterol screen. A confidential
assessment report was then issued to each employee.
A health check proposal for the UK based business
units will be communicated to all staff once agreed.
Many thanks to everyone for taking part, especially
the reception desks in Dublin and Cork for helping the
clinics run smoothly.

Richie Morrissey, Quantity Surveyor, and one of the CWHT Nurses.
