Tenika T. Evans is a dynamic, transformational, and responsive
leader of math education. Her background includes being a middle
school math teacher, MYP coordinator, middle and high school
assistant principal, and she currently serves as a district math
recovery specialist in Jasper County. During her time in this role,
she has worked to transform math education in Jasper County,
often modeling for and coaching teachers. Going above and
beyond, she has stepped in to teach Honors Algebra I classes and
serves as a substitute when math teachers were absent. Beyond
her professional role, Ms. Evans serves as a math tutor, and she
recently started her math consulting business, Coach Nika
Consulting. In this new capacity, she has been serving the
Tenika T. Evans elementary and middle schools of Marion County where her unique
approach has been a game changer with building the capacity of
school-level administrators and instructional leaders. Ms. Evans is
truly a trailblazer and a rising math star in the state of South
Carolina!
