6. Be a positive example for others: Show others that it is

possible to learn the skills necessary to succeed as you go. Just
get started and fi nd a way. There are always people that will give

you a hand if you ask.

        7. Create a memory that will last a lifetime: These books ares
something that will be around when Tia is older and she can show

her kids and grandkids the books she wrote with her dad as a child.
That is something money can’t buy. These will be successes, even

if we don’t sell one copy. We have already won. That’s something
sharing video game time can’t do.

        8. Show how do develop patience: Each of our books has taken

6-9 months to create. Starting with ideas, and then organizing
them into a story, then getting the images just right, then getting

them into a format that could be published. That required a lot of
            patience on both our parts.

        9. Goal setting: We set a goal to write a book. We then break this

goal down into smaller parts. We spent time each week working
on the parts until we had completed this book.

        10. Believe in yourself: If you really want to do something
you will be amazed at what you can really accomplish. Just apply

            yourself and try your best.
