Mistaken Point Ecological Reserve (2016)
Mistaken Point on Newfoundland’s Avalon Peninsula, is the world’s oldest major assemblage of Ediacaran (530 million years old) fossils. With Reich + Petch Architects, TCI was involved in the development of a plan for an expanded ‘Edge of the Avalon’ Interpretive Visitor Centre that would tell the story of the fossils and their connection to the overall history of life. The plan for the Centre was to be an integral part of Canada’s submission to UNESCO to gain World Heritage Site status for the site.
