Area IV TLOD Service Project

This year Area IV Top Ladies and Lords held a toothbrush and toothpaste drive for the Hosea Feed the Hungry
& Homeless, as a part of the 35th Area IV Conference service project. Hosea asked that we concentrate our col-
lection efforts on raising as much of a singular item as possible, as opposed to collecting a wide array of differ-
ent items. Raising items for charity in this manner decreases the volunteer effort needed to sort the items; there-
by speeding up the time it takes to distribute the items.

Hosea feed The Hungry & Homeless provides assistance to 61,000 people a year through innovative programs
and initiatives. HFTH is where working poor and homeless people receive resources needed to re-stabilize their
lives. Widely known for its four annual holiday dinners that provide services to nearly 15,000 individuals every
Thanksgiving, Christmas, Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday and Easter. HFTH’s mission has grown to offer year-
round services including food, clothing, medical assistance, emergency help, education, job training support.
