Another highlight of the conference was the service project which allowed the teens to bring clothing and shoe donations
from their chapters to donate to the 15th District PTA Clothing Assistance Program. Teens participated in sorting new do-
nations by gender, hanging clothes, tagging the clothes with size, taking inventory of clothing, cleaning and sorting racks of
existing clothes, breaking down cardboard boxes, pairing shoes and labeling sizes being stored in warehouse for student of
Jeffersonville County to select for their personal and family use. The teens were appreciative of being part of this end
Afterwards, teens visited Simmons Historic Black College to listen and have a panel discussion with students share about
college life and the impact of attending a small HBCU.
