Back to School Jamboree - TTA Membership Recruiting
Informational
On August 12, 2017, members of the Cardinal Chapter of Top Teens of
America manned a Membership Information booth at the Jennings School
System “Back to School Jamboree. The Jamboree was a day of learning,
food, fun and a beautiful community fellowship. Students, including
several TTA Chapter members, and their parents were able to pick up
school supplies, meet school administrators, speak with local policemen
and firemen, Jennings government officials, network and gather valuable
information from approximately 60 organizations, including Top Teens of
America, who provide services to the Jennings community. The TTA
Chapter President, TTA Advisor and members (Ladies and Teens) in
Chapter attire used Chapter display boards and Chapter membership
brochures to inform potential future Top Teens and their parents of the
TTA Programs and Projects. While distributing writing utensils and other
tokens, contact information was garnered for approximately 20 potential members, including a TLOD prospect. The Jamboree
provided Teens an opportunity to meet and interact with students from other schools, network with employers from various
business segments and to sharpen oratorical skills as presenter of the TTA Program of Work. A fun day was had by all in
attendance,
Ebony Chapter
On Saturday, August 19, 2017 Ebony Chapter TLOD and
TTA participated in Columbus Park Picnic/Parade/World
Health Day, a Community Event with Congressman Danny
K. Davis.
The purpose was to promote World Health, celebrate
Education and to provide local community children with
Back to School supplies.
