Hello, I’m Lady Barbara Stowe, Area IV Top Teen Advisor. 50
As we embark upon a new year of service, my vision for
Area IV Top Teens is for every teen to use their voice to
maximize their leadership potential. My vision for Area IV
Top Teen Advisors is for every advisor to be motivated to
mentor our teens.

Over the next two years, my primary goals are:
• to grow Area IV Top Teen Membership by 25%, so
that as many teens as possible have an opportunity to
experience firsthand the beauty of service and
mentoring.
• to increase teen participation so that our existing
teens gain valuable leadership skills.
• to increase attendance on the Area level, so that
teens can network in person with their peers and
actually see how their service impacts others.
• to fully train our new Top Teen Advisors and update
our experienced Top Teen Advisors to ensure that
they understand their roles and responsibilities.

It’s my desire that every teen masters the Governance, uses
parliamentary and protocol procedures and the skill set to
conduct their own meetings as future leaders. More
importantly, I want the teens to have fun while making life-
long friends and continuing to have an attitude of service.

Lastly, I would like to expand the correlation of
involvement between the mission of TLOD and Top Teens
using best practices for ladies’ participation, community
service project innovations and having a stronger passion
for mentoring our teens.
