Dale City Prince William County Chapter continued efforts throughout 2017 to serve need in

the community. The Community Beautification Committee Chair, Lady Cricket Miller-Roy, led support of Na-
tional Planting Day with Keep Prince William Beautiful in September as well as year-round support for the Adopt
-A-Spot program.

The Top Teens, under the leadership of TTA Advisor Lady Marcia Leftwich, with the assistance of Lady Latoya
Ingraham, continued to improve the quality of life for community residents. In September, the Top Teens and
Senior Citizens Committee Chair, Lady Simone Howard, led a Grandparents Day event at the Prince William
Adult Day Healthcare Center. The teens prepared snacks, played bingo and enjoyed talking with senior citi-
zens. The Committee Chair, the TTA Advisor, and the Top Teens further collaborated on participation in the
Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Interaction with the center continued throughout the end of the year with a
Veterans Day Commemorative Service and a Thanksgiving Day Lunch in November, followed by a Cookie, Car-
oling, and Cocoa event in December.

Finally, the chapter continued to grow by leveraging Interest Meetings that led to induction ceremonies for both
ladies and teens. The teens led an Interest Meeting in October, which resulted in the induction of fifteen (15) new
Top Teens in December! In-turn, the ladies conducted Interest Meetings, which resulted in the induction of
twenty-three (23) new Top Ladies! To continue the momentum of growth, the chapter will celebrate its 10th An-
niversary in September 2018 and is in the process of planning a Gala for this milestone.
