MODULE 1:
YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
Extension Tasks
1. Research Tasks: Challenge students to work in pairs to
research the meaning and application of consent in respectful
relationships. Students should then use a CAD (computer-
assisted design) software or platform, or video production
technology to create a social media awareness resource
about consent, aimed at younger students. If appropriate,
post resources to the school’s Instagram page and track the
engagement for each to evaluate them. (45 mins)
2. Digital Consent: Explore the concept of consent in
digital interactions, such as sharing photos or messages
online. Discuss the importance of asking for and
respecting consent.
Get students to brainstorm situations where consent is
needed in digital interactions.
Some examples:
• Posting unflattering images of someone online
• Sharing an image of someone else that was
meant for your eyes only
• Screenshots of private conversations
Discuss with students the ‘fallout’ when boundaries/consent
aren’t respected in these situations. Get students to
brainstorm where they can reach out for support if they
feel boundaries/consent are not being respected. Remind
students about the ‘resource’ section in the YourCrew web
app, where they can find an A-Z list of topics and support
services including Cyberbullying and a ‘Pathways to help’
function to help them know where to go when seeking help.
(30 mins)
