WHAT IF?
ABOUT WINGS CRS, INC.
What if your community experienced a catastrophic event and you contacted your local fire and rescue squad
for assistance, but before they could come to your aid they had to first place calls across the world to lease
the vehicles necessary for them to be able to respond to you?
When devastating natural disasters occur across the globe today, especially in the developing nations, most
emergency aid organizations own few if any aircraft necessary to be able to transport aid effectively. In the
meantime human lives affected by disasters hang precariously in the balance as time rapidly steals any hope
of survival against the common killers: exposure, dehydration, and hypothermia. As each precious hour pass-
es people continually die in wait while the legacy catastrophe response organizations are focused only on
locating aircraft they can charter so that they reach the awaiting victims with supplies and medical teams.
The problem is in today’s growing cargo industry, aircraft and ships are in high constant demand and are
more than often booked for weeks or even days. To add to the problem, food, critical supplies, and fuel often
have to be procured too! Foreign military aid is often the best solution, but can be also tied up in bureau-
cratic red tape, security clearances and diminished by dwindling defense budgets. The tragic result while the
victims wait life slips away for way too many.
As proven with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina not even resource rich governments such as the United
States can respond in adequate time to save lives, and this problem is made many times worst for impover-
ished nations. In either case once a disaster strikes, precious minutes’ count, and a formidable and immedi-
ate response is required not only to save lives but to stabilize fragile economic trading markets.
A rapid response staves off death and potential economic collapses in national, regional, and even global
economies. The world needs today to also be able to rely on a capably equipped and highly trained rapid
response team which would stand ready to respond to any scale disaster in any part of the world within min-
utes! Some say it’s too costly but we then ask ourselves, “What is One Life Worth?
Today more than ever our world needs WINGS!
