LOCKHEED MARTIN C5 GALAXY
OUR FLEET
The Lockheed C5 Galaxy is the third largest sized aircraft in the world
and is capable of transporting over 120 tons of cargo, and will become
the premier transport aircraft in Wings’ operations. The C5 was chosen
over its nearest competitors for its ability to access shorter runways
and its military version is familiar to many military veteran pilots which
will save Wings time and money in training.
As the Air Force’s largest and only strategic airlifter, the C-5
Galaxy can carry more cargo farther distances than any other
aircraft. With a payload of six Mine Resistant Ambush Protect-
ed vehicles (MRAPs) or up to five helicopters, the C-5 can haul
twice as much cargo as any other airlifter
