The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact
Human Rights
Principle 1: We support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights, through our
HR Department.
Principle 2: We are not complicit in human rights abuses through our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality
(SHEQ) fairness policy.
Labour
Principle 3: We ensure that the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to air worker
grievances is met. We use external auditors to assist us with internal disputes.
Principle 4: We do not force compulsory labour on our employees, overtime is optional.
Principle 5: We do not use child labour as our minimum employee age requirement is 21.
Principle 6: We promote a diverse workforce and do not discriminate at any stage our employees
employment.
Environment
Principle 7: We remove planned obsolesce from computers as this promotes consumerism, thus further
destroying the planet. We follow a precautionary approach to our environmental challenges.
Principle 8: We follow ‘Responsible Recycling’ - R2 (applying) and RoHS. We promote initiatives to further
environmental responsibility.
Principle 9: We encourage data sanitation instead of data destruction, as it makes the hard drives reusable.
We have a wide range of data erasure techniques to suit our different clients’ needs. We encourage the
development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Anti-Corruption
Principle 10: An example of our anti-corruption policy is the mandatory gift register for all received gifts and
goods given to all employee’s. Were traditional gifts do not exceed a value of R 250.00 incl. Vat.
