TNA MOVES INTO MEXICO
TNA has opened a new office and training centre in Mexico to give new services and extra support to local food manufacturers.
Located in Santiago de
Querétaro, the office will
enable tna to accommodate its growing sales and technical support team and better respond to regional business growth.
The new office also incorporates a new training centre with technical support, helping manufacturers maximise the performance of their tna equipment.
“Our business and team in Latin America have grown immensely over the last few years,” Thiago Roriz, general manager – tna Latin America, says.
”We’ve experienced a 31 per cent increase in sales in the last three years alone, and have doubled the size of our local sales and technical support team.
“Our new site is almost three times bigger than our previous office, which means we’re not only able to accommodate our growing team of experts, but can now also offer customers a dedicated training area.”
The new training centre of excellence offers detailed insights into the functions of tna’s equipment in a live operational environment.
It will help customers improve workplace safety, reduce downtime, enhance operational efficiencies and maximise the lifespan and performance of tna solutions, according to the company.

WASTEWATER
MEASUREMENT METER
The ST100 Series Thermal Flow Meter from Fluid Components International (FCI), available from AMS Instrumentation & Calibration, is designed to help operators provide precision mass flow measurement in wastewater treatment operations.
Digester waste gas is a combination of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) with a small percentage of other trace gases. Its gas composition can
vary with the process and temperature,
but a typical average is
in the range of 65% (±5%) CH4 and 35%
(±5%) CO2. Digester gas is also a moist
and dirty gas, typically containing entrained
hydrogen sulphides, which condense and deposit on pipe walls.
If the gas is harvested for use as fuel in a CHP or cogen system, the amount of gas being sent to the engine is a
key control variable. Further, if any gas is released or flared, because both methane and carbon dioxide are known polluting greenhouse gases (GHG), local environmental regulations typically mandate reporting of the quantity of
gases emitted or flared.
With no moving parts and simple
insertion-style design, and global HazEx approvals, the ST100 Flow Meter suits digester gas flow measurement. It can be calibrated for the specific digester gas mix composition and processes temperature conditions in flow ranges from 0.07 NMPS to 305 NMPS and with accuracy to ±0.75 percent of reading, ±0.5 percent of full scale. ST100’s constant power thermal dispersion, mass flow technology, has proven useful in applications with moist, dirty gases. It can be installed in the pipe with a simple, retractable compression fitting or through a ball valve for easy access.

LILAC-COLOURED taps and hoses can be found wherever recycled water is used, but there hasn’t been a hose reel to match until now. Tecpro Australia recently produced hose reels to match a Victoria water treatment
CLEAN CABLE PROTECTION
plant’s recycled water hoses, and is offering to do the same for others.
Tecpro says there are hundreds of different configurations for hose reels including manual rewind, motor driven, slow retractable and food-grade specialty reels, all in various styles to suit different hose sizes, lengths and pressures.
Tecpro Australia can produce a customised solution such as lilac-coloured hose reels for the water treatment plant or multi-coloured reels to match corporate colours.
Tecpro Australia provides technical solutions for a range of industrial applications, including spray nozzles, tank cleaning equipment, ergonomic guns, stainless steel hose reels, odour control systems, fogging nozzles and fog makers for dust suppression and evaporative cooling.
TREOTHAM Automation’s PMA conduit is
aimed at protecting cables against mechanical and other environmental factors, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness.
ABB developed the JFBD nylon conduit with a
corrugated design especially for the food and beverage industry,
to meet demands for rapid and effective washdown. The conduit
incorporates an overextruded non-porous smooth jacket, delivering enhanced cleanability and resistance to aggressive chemicals.
The IP69-rated PMA cable protection range offers a choice of two high specification fittings. The JKNH nylon fitting is made from FDA-compliant material, and offers chemical resistance and quick installation, without the need for tools. The JENQ single-piece fitting is made from 316L stainless steel and is suited to areas with strict hygiene demands.
