one or two books in a week, it's easy to do on audiobooks by speeding it up to 1.5 or even 2 times the original speed.
My recommendation is audible.com, you can download the app onto your smart- phone, and this allows you to browse for books instead of surfing social media. You can also gift a membership to your team, a great idea is to do a book of the month and have your entire leadership team focused on the same book.
ONLINE LEARNING
Online courses are great if you feel like you need more structure or learning path- ways. There are several online course websites that have thousands of courses to help with everything from managing fi- nances to leadership and marketing.
These courses will help you develop your skills by giving you structured lessons and quite often homework to complete. I've done some amazing on- line courses for as little as $25. Check out Udemy.com one of the world's largest online course catalogues.
MASTERMIND GROUPS
Getting together with your peers on a regular basis and learning from each other is invaluable. Mastermind groups have been going for a long time and have proven to be the nucleus for many entrepreneurs’ success. If there aren't any groups that are easy for you to at- tend then why not start your own?
The group doesn’t have to be with people from your own industry, you could join an existing group of entrepre- neurs and get a lot of value from this. Make sure there is an agenda for each meeting and that it is followed so it doesn’t descend into ‘beers with mates’.
NETWORK
Contacting successful shop owners and of- fering them lunch in return for a shop tour and to be able to pick their brain over a meal could be the difference between a me- diocre year and an amazing year in 2022. Make a list of all the shops that have in- spired you and reach out for a tour.
We don't know what we don't know, sometimes having a look at how some- body else has set up their workshop, how they manage workflow and what tools and resources they use can really give you the gold you need to succeed.
GET A BUSINESS COACH
No doubt I'm biased. However working with hundreds of businesses has given me a great insight into the biggest challenges that business owners face. The number one challenge is you. It is very difficult for you to be honest with yourself, having an external third party to hold you accounta- ble, help you put together your plans and be there when you need to bounce ideas off is invaluable.
