4. INNOVATIONS
1. Provision of additional Terminal Board TB83A
in ECC3 compartment of HHP Locos
Loco No – 70650 has failed on 05-07-21 due to LR dropping after 4
th
notch. On investigation, it is found that Terminal Board no – TB83A is in
burnt condition in ECC3 compartment due to FPM wires SRA& SRA1,
SFN&SFN1 are burnt in TB.
The loco is equipped with Siemens Ac-Ac system. In Siemens locos, the
TB83A is unable to withstand the continuous FPM current of 9A and
resulting in TB getting burnt.
Hence, a modification is carried out by providing additional TB (of Alco
loco) in ECC3 compartment. The FPM wires of SRA/SRA1 & SFN/SFN1
are removed from the existing TB83A and connected to the TB which is
provided additionally. This will result in elimination of burning of existing
TB (due to removal of FPM wires).
