15.2 DEFECTIVE CURRENT REGULATOR / ECR RELAY:

I
 n order to arrest failures of current regulators; tight sealing of signal units and
provision of greased glazed graphite rope to prevent entry of water/rodents
and replacement of modified current regulators has been provided.
 AC LED’s are provided in place of DC LED to improve reliability.
 LED ECRs for all LED signals is provided.
 1414 nos. of Integrated LEDs are provided so far in 2021-22 (through AAC and
works), cumulative progress is 5213 integrated LEDs.

15.3 CABLE DEFECTS / CUTS / THEFTS BY MISCREANTS:

Use of cable route locators for survey is made compulsory. Integrated cable
path diagram was made. Criminal cases are registered against the agencies
that are cutting cables in addition to imposing penalties.
Defective cables identified by carrying out Cable meggering at regular
intervals (152 locations done in 2021-22 till date) and replaced about 54.774
Km of defective cable in 2021-22.
ELD’s are provided at all stations and monitored through Data logger.

16. POWER SUPPLY ARRANGEMENTS:

At 141 stations integrated power supply system out of 143 stations and two
stations not required, since temporarily closed and at IB /LC/stations 122 no. of
Mini Integrate Power supply system is provided. The other stations have
discrete systems consisting of battery chargers and secondary cells for each
application. The following works are planned for improvement in power supply
scenario.

 Non Blanking of Stations/LC gates/Auto sections:
● The work of strengthening of power supply arrangement in Auto signaling
section between SNF-LPI sanctioned in LSWP 2017-18. Cable lying in Auto
section completed. LPI – HFZ Auto section Mini IPS provided and achieved
Non- blanking signals. Other Auto section Goomties provision under
progress by Engineering department.
