iii.  Freight
                   a) Long hauls consisting of two empty rakes are run with single
                       crack crew.

                   b) U-turn of crew in DKJ-BDCR-DKJ section was started  on 23-
                       09-2021,  so  far  65  trips  upto  Oct-21  saving  65  crews  and

                       approximately Rs. 97.5 lakhs
                   c) Attending  wagon  damages  started  at  Bethampudi  on

                       07/07/2021 to improve the wagon loadability
                   d) Closed Circuit (CC) checking of BOXN rakes started at BPA

                       on 01/09/21, so far 16 rakes issued with CC BPC
                   e) Freight  train  examination  of  511  rakes  in  Oct-21  is  highest

                       ever, previous best was 502 rakes in Sep-21
                   f)  One BCN CC Mini was formed at RDM for fertiliser loading


                   5. ASSISTANCE REQUIRED


               1.  PDPL bypass at KZJ end has to be completed in the sanctioned
                    3       line     works        between          KZJ-BPQ         under       material
                     rd
                    modification.(Construction)
               Present status: PET survey was sanctioned in Pink Book 2017-18 vide
               item No.45. Alignment and sketch of Bye pass was approved. Cost

               estimates  are  awaited  from  Construction  organization  for
               forwarding to Railway Board for approval.
               Benefit:  The  branch  line  between  PDPL-  NZB  is  serving  4
               sidings/goods sheds. At present empties coming from KZJ end are
               being received either at PDPL or at RGPM stations and dispatched
               to  branch  line  by  reversing  of  loco.  At  present  loco  reversal  is

               being  carried  out  for  99  trains  per  month  with  a  detention  of  2
               hours.  Due  to  non-availability  of  bypass  every  rake  coming from
               KZJ end to branch line and vice versa is losing two hours time. By
               providing this bye pass net savings will be 2.33 Crores per month.

               2.  Commissioning of Bhadrachalam road-Sattupalli section at the
                    earliest. (Construction) Projected traffic: 10 rakes per day.

               Present status: All ESPs are approved by division and headquarters.
               Tenders  finalised,  civil  works  commenced.  OHE  foundations  and
               internal  wiring  of  S&T  are  in  progress.  P.  way  material  allotted,
               transportation is under process. Out of the total length of 56.25 kms
               for 29 km of track linking has been completed. Balance works are
               in progress.
