When she became aware of one particular custom,
Nana Grace believed she became frightened and did
run away to protect her unborn child.

She continued, “I saw Kura inside her mother’s
womb. I saw who she was destined to become, that in
time she would become a great teacher and healer and
also a wise visionary.”
“My grandmother saw these same things in me
when I was in my mother’s womb. I was raised to serve
my people as a teacher, a healer and visionary. I learned
by apprenticing alongside my grandmother, an expert
like the Professor only more aware in the ways of
spirit."

“I observed how she would notice everything that
was happening in the nature around her. Many times
she would remain silent and beckon me to come close.
She would just touch me and suddenly I could hear all
the birds, insects, trees, plants all engaging in
conversation. I could see a light radiating from each one
and I just knew they could see me and read my
thoughts.”

Anne Marie rolled her eyeballs wishing the old lady
would hurry up with her story.
