Risa Wolf, MD

Dr. Risa Wolf, a board certified pediatric endocrinologist at Broward Health Coral Springs, is the driving force behind the implementation of a
unique concept in pediatric diabetes care. Her vision was to lead a comprehensive pediatric diabetes center with a team approach of endocrinol-
ogists, diabetes educators, nutritionist and psychologists-all with the goal of helping children manage the complexities of diabetes and maintain
a healthy lifestyle. From her vision, the Broward Health Pediatric Diabetes Center was born and is now a safe haven for parents and children who
had limited access to all these resources under one roof with a center in Coral Springs and another in Fort Lauderdale.
Dr. Wolf joined Broward Health Physician Group after completing her pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in
Pennsylvania, and her pediatric endocrine fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. During her fellowship, Dr. Wolf was award-
ed prestigious grants from both the Pediatric Endocrine Society and the Endocrine Society to support her research in obesity and metabolism.
Dr. Wolf enjoys treating all pediatric endocrine disorders, but has a particular interest in pediatric diabetes. She is affiliated with the American
Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Endocrine Society and the Endocrine Society.

Charles Lago, MD

Colorectal Center Medical Director,
Charles Lago, M.D., has led the way for
making Broward Health Coral Springs
the only hospital in Florida to earn top
marks in colorectal treatment. Through
his leadership the Minimally Invasive
Colorectal Surgery Program has achieved
full Joint Commission re-accreditation
with zero deficiencies making it the first
and only program of its kind in Florida to
officially earn these marks.
Dr. Lago is a graduate of the Mount
Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He
completed a surgical residency at the
School of Medicine and Biomedical
Sciences State University of New York at Estefano,
who wished for and received a
Buffalo and a Fellowship in Colon Rectal heart transplant, and his mom
Surgery at Orlando Regional Healthcare
System/University of Florida Affiliate.
Dr. Lago is a Diplomat of the American
Board of General Surgery and a Diplomat
of the American Board of Colon Rectal
Surgery.
