Dr. Vasiliu-Feltes joined MEDNAX National Medical Dr. Ingrid Vasiliu-Feltes
Group in 2016 as VP of Quality and Safety to lead all clin-
ical multi-specialty quality and safety initiatives, as well as to facilitate the design and
implementation of value based payment models. She also provides oversight for all
research, education, and innovation activities that fall under the auspices of the MED-
NAX Center for Research, Education, Quality and Safety. After receiving her medical
degree in Europe, she completed her post-graduate residency and fellowship training
at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2003, and earned her
Executive Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami in
2011. Additionally she holds numerous professional certifications: Finance from
Harvard Business School, Negotiation from Harvard Law School, Fellow of the
American College of Healthcare Executives, Patient Safety Officer by the
International Board Federation of Safety Managers, Master Black Belt in Lean and Six
Sigma Management, Professional in Healthcare Quality by the National Association
of Healthcare Quality, Manager for Quality and Organizational Excellence, by the
American Society for Quality, and Certified Risk Management Professional by the
American Society for healthcare Risk Management.
Prior to joining the MEDNAX team, Dr. Vasiliu-Feltes held several leadership roles
within the academic, corporate and not-for-profit arena. She lead quality and safety
efforts in a large multicenter academic healthcare system, most recently serving as the
Chief Patient Safety and Quality Officer, Chief of Compliance and Quality Assurance,
Medical Director of Clinical Research Trials and Medical Director-Managed Care. She
has extensive experience in designing and implementing numerous quality, safety,
educational and compliance initiatives in the clinical, research, administrative and
financial healthcare setting. Dr. Vasiliu-Feltes also had the opportunity to apply her
expertise in value and risk based based contracting, quality assurance, pay for per-
formance models, governmental and commercial quality reporting functions, and has
provided oversight for state and federal audit preparation, licensing and certifications The n
