            Vowel Adventure


                                            Amy the cat sat on a mat,

                                      Eddie the hen pecked at his pen.
                                            Ivy the pig did a funny jig,

                                        Oliver the dog barked at a log.

                                   Uma the duck splashed in the muck,

                              All of them laughed - they had such luck!

               ~ '  Let's go on a vowel adventure! Encourage kids to say the poem aloud and listen for the special
                       ~.     vowelsounds-A,E,1,0,U.
                     1   ~    Ask them to clap every time they hear a new vowel sound. For extra fun, they can act like the
                     ·        animals-wiggle like Ivy the pig or quack like Uma the duck!
