Akbar : What do you suggest Birbal?

What according to you would be the right thing to do if

somebody pulled my whiskers?

Birbal : He should be given sweets.

Courtiers : Sweets? But why?

Birbal : Yes, he should be given sweets. This is so because the only

one who would dare pull

the emperor’s whiskers, is

his grandson.

Emperor Akbar was very

pleased with the answer.

He presented his own

ring to Birbal as reward.
