Vikram learned that talking too much is not as good as speaking wisely . The teacher's
story about the rooster and toad shows that it's important to choose our words
carefully. This story teaches us that meaningful talking is better than endless chatter.
Once upon a time, there was a boy
named Vikram. He was in the third grade
and loved asking questions about
everything. One day, he went to his
teacher and asked, "Is it good to talk
a lot?" He had noticed that some
people talked a whole lot, but
his mom told him that talking
too much is not wise.
His teacher smiled kindly
and told him a story, "Think
about toads and frogs. They make noise all the time, but nobody really
listens to them. Now, consider a rooster. It crows only in the morning, and
we all pay attention to it. So, Vikram, what do you want to be, a frog or a
rooster?" Vikram understood and said, "I want to be like the rooster, sir. I
want to talk when it's important." He realised that it's better to say the right
things at the right time rather than talking too much. As Vikram grew up, he
learned that meaningful words are more valuable than lots of words. He saw
that choosing our words carefully is important.
