WEB BROWSER

A Web Browser is a software that helps you to open and view the contents stored

on the electronic pages of the World Wide Web(www). Internet Explorer is a

popular web browser developed by the Microsoft Corporation. Other popular
web browsers are Google Chrome, Netscape Navigator, Opera, etc.

You can open Google Chrome by double clicking on its icon from the Desktop or

access it through the Start menu. The following picture shows the opening
screen of the Google Chrome browser and its various components.

Website A collection of electronic pages on the world wide web

Webpage An electronic page of information on the www. Many
webpages together make up a website. Like a website, a

webpage also has a unique address on the internet.

Web Address The unique name or address that a website has on the

internet is known as the Uniform Resource Locator or URL.
