INPUT, PROCESSING AND OUTPUT

Input

We enter numbers, words, pictures and sounds as input. This is called data .

Thus, data and/or instructions entered into the computer is called Input .

Processing

The CPU works on the given data to give us meaningful information. This is
called Processing .

Output

The meaningful information that we get on screen or on paper is called
Output.

Together the Input, Processing and Output is called an IPO cycle.

Input Devices

Input devices are those that are used to feed information into the computer.
Some of the common input devices are :

Output Devices

The devices that show the result of your work on the computer are called

output devices. Some of the common output devices are:
