Read the descriptions of the planets in our solar system. Write their names in the blanks :
1. This is the third-largest planet. It is tilted on its side and spins north-south rather than

of gas and is not solid. The most famous feature is its Red Spot. It has 79 known natural

per hour. It is also made of gas. This planet is famous for its beautiful rings, and has at

8. This planet has a bright blue colour. It is the only planet to have life on it, and it has a large
amount of liquid water. It is protected from the Sun's UV. radiation by Line ozone layer that
stretches 20-30 km above this planet. _____________________
9. This dwarf planet was discovered in February of 1930. It is the farthest planet from the
Sun. It was only planet to have been discovered by an American. ____________________
10. All the planets belong to the solar system. The solar system belongs to a galaxy. The name
of the galaxy that contains our solar system. ____________________
