HE list of magazines which follows completely covers the various fields of
endeavor described in this book. The list of books, pamphlets and
government bulletins, however, is intended to be suggestive rather than
complete, and offers the reader a choice of books in each field which should
help him in his search for practical information.
Additional suggestions may be obtained from the various government
departments, both state and federal; from public libraries; from the readers’
service bureaus of the magazines; publishers’ catalogs; the U. S. Catalog (on
file in most public libraries); book dealers, and the series of booklets
published by the American Library Association under the title of, “Reading
with a Purpose,” also available through the public libraries. The prices listed
are, of course, subject to change.
