Videos for Search
How do people find your videos on YouTube? Most peo-
ple discover new videos by searching for them—or rather,
by searching for a particular topic or type of video. Those
videos that display high in the search results get the
views.
This means that you need to optimize your videos to rank
as high as possible in YouTube’s search results. Video
search optimization is similar to the search engine opti-
mization (SEO) you perform on your website; it’s all about
figuring out what people are searching for, and inserting
those keywords into the appropriate places.
